With loads of "talent," a huge "intimidation" factor and an undefeated record, the team known as the Goombas captured the title at the annual volleyball marathon held on Nov. 18.
The annual tournament was sponsored by the Student Government Association and all of the proceeds were donated to the Four Diamonds Fund for helping kids with cancer.
The tournament was held in the Wunderley Gym and brought in teams from many other branch campuses,

such as New Kensington, Fayette, Delaware County and even two teams from University Park.
The Goombas, led by team captain Brad Maloney (sophomore-information sciences and technology), showed no mercy all day as the easily disposed of teams one by one quickly becoming a McKeesport favorite.
When it was all over they hoisted the proud captain up and carried him off of the court bringing the title back to were it belongs, in McKeesport.
