Nov. 4 was Penn State University's
annual All U-Day event. Students from all 20 Penn State campuses were
given a chance to purchase a student section ticket to the Nittany Lions'
football game against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Student Affairs Coordinator David Day says, "The main purpose [of the
trip] is to enable all students to see what University Park is like
during, before, and after the highly popularized footballs games." The
trip also serves as a homecoming of sorts for branch campus students,
acting as a get-together between all campuses.
Kraig Josephic (sophomore-civil engineering) says, "It's a great
opportunity for students to go up as a group and have a good time at the
game and with each other." For now, the celebration of All U-Day consists
of the free bus trip to and from University Park and the $17 student
ticket to the Nittany Lion football game. Future plans may include a
weekend-long trip to State College and/or other events for students to
attend.
